Small splurges…

Published by silverymoonart at 8:50 am under Daily (almost) Journal Edit This

coffeesamplepic3.jpgWell, I started on my reverse decoupage jar last night. Wow. It is waaay more challenging than I thought it would be. I started off by putting Mod Podge on the wrong side of my paper, which messed me up right off. I also discovered that I really need some sort of tool to get the paper down into the bottom of the jar. The best thing I could think of last night was a plastic tweezer-type tool that came with my son’s bug-catching kit. Too bad I couldn’t find it….A trip to the dollar store may remedy that problem. I continued to work on the jar, but felt like I needed a “reward” for my effort after a while. I love coffee and can’t think of a nicer way to reward myself. Since I’m trying to budget, I’ve found ways to have little coffee splurges that don’t break the bank or expand my waistline nearly as much as coffee drinks from certain establishments could.International Delight has a coffee mix that is only about 60 calories per serving and comes out to 20 cents a cup.  Cafe Vienna is my favorite, but since it was getting late I stuck with decaf French Vanilla, also yummy. You get that sort of creamy texture of a fancy cappuccino drink, but without the extra cost and calories. Try it!
